Notes
Irene went to kagulu to teach about sexually transmitted diseases basically the causes, mode of transmission, signs and symptoms in men,and in women. Irene started with a review of the previous lesson then she asked the members what sexually transmitted diseases mean. Shadia said it’s a disease for the people who move from one woman to another, or have more than one man. Irene then gave a clear explanation of the meaning the mode of transmission which involved multiple sexual partners, and exposure or Sharing, under pants, sponges used by an infected individual. Irene also talked about the different signs in men and women, unlike in men where there is pain and difficult during passing urine in men especially if they have Gonorrhea that sign is rear but still the women get a discharge, and other signs that Irene explained. She also explained the most common sexually transmitted diseases treatment and ways of prevention. Irene then told the community members to always seek medical help each time they see the signs of the infection because the infection becomes severe the longer it stays.after the meeting irene got to meet zamina a seven year old whose mother was left by her husband for another woman during the COVID lock down so she leaves zamina with her two year old brother to take care of.zamina says her mother goes to the garden in the morning before she leaves she assigns her to take care of her brother, she gives him a birth, serves him food, helps him with all dties that his mother would do. so when irene talked to the chairman about the lots of work she does,he said he has had several people complain of the same issue,he has talked to the mother but she has not worked on it so he is going to talk to the higher authority about it.
