Notes
David and Steven were in kirwanire village . And their intentions of going there was to continue following up on the sanitation improvements in the village . And also putting the much emphasis on the target homes still lagging behind. As David and Steven were in the village , they were joined shortly by some sanitation committee members because the sanitation committee members were going for voting. Since it was a voting day for the district chairmen’s throughout Uganda. So David ,Steven and some sanitation committee members moved in some targeted homes encouraging the residents to work and meet the set sanitation standards. However out of the many homes they visited, they were so much encouraged with kalulu Magidu because he had some good progress of his latrine pit because he had dug about 14 feet deeper pit . Kalulu Magidu promised the kibo staff that he was aiming at digging forty feet . Reason was that he had tenants who were using his house. So it was important for David to continue encouraging kalulu to double his effort to finish his new pit . Later after the kibo also were also so much impressed with Samson mulloni,s new pit which was about 7 feet deeper. It encouraged so much David and Steven because this home they never wanted to attend sanitation meetings and it was almost the last home on the boundary with the other villages. Because of the voting exercise which was held , the kibo staff didn’t moving home to home as usual. In general according to David and seven,s overview they saw that the sanitation work had was at a slower phase reason was because of the campaigns which was involving many of the residents. So David ,the sanitation committee, chairman and Steven saw it important to call for the next coming village general sanitation improvements meeting .
