Notes
Suzan went back to the village to follow up on the maintenance of the program facilities such as construction of the kitchen roofs, firewood storages, smearing of the buildings and stoves. When she got there, she went to one f the committee group leaders and found some members gathered. She was warmly welcomed and without wasting much time they went and began walking around the village while visiting different homes. In the process, Suzan observed that some members had constructed their kitchen roofs and also built the firewood storages although others had not. About two women were found cooking on the three stones and they said that they first wanted to repair and smear their fuel efficient stoves which had cracked all over. Many of the members were found cooking on their fuel efficient stoves as they freely explained how their lives were improved after receiving them. Some of the men were so happy for the changes they saw in their homes after their wives attended and participated in the kitchens program such as improved marriage relationships, eating food in time, saving firewood, smokeless kitchens and less burn accidents. They also promised to always help their wives in some home activities especially in maintaining the facilities since the women were mostly involved in cooking and taking care of the children. Suzan thanked each one for the good work and encouraged all those who had not repaired their facilities to do so as soon as possible so as to live happily with their families.
