Lesson Taught
Bible Lesson 7: The Tongue
Notes
Ida went to Nawandyo group B to teach about the Tongue. She used a telephone game where she asked four people to volunteer and participate in the game. The words that Ida whispered to ones ear changed at the end. That’s how words can change in few seconds. Ida told a story of a woman who almost died because of words that are not true, she lost her baby, marriage and a friend. After a period of time her husband learned a lesson from the tragedy and promised never to listen to people and react immediately before digging out the truth. He was put in prison for seven years, his baby died, the wife divorced and lost friends too.If he had used the three sieves, all the problems that resulted from the rumors wouldn’t have happened. We should think before we speak anything. Ida later gave them three sieves to use before saying anything and below are the three sieves: 1. Is what am about to say true? 2. Is it worth saying?( beneficial) 3. Will it unite? Ida concluded with a memory verse from Ephesians 4:29.
