Jessica and Suzan went to the lower section of the village to teach the community members how to build the fuel efficient stoves. This time they were to encourage the members to participate in some steps so that they would learn faster. When they reached there, they went to one of the members home and found some members in the process of stamping the dirt while others were busy cutting the banana stems. This was so encouraging to see and without wasting much time, Kibo staff joined them in stamping the dirt and corrected them in some mistakes they made while cutting the banana stems. This was because some members had not learnt the skills very well. The dirt was carried into the kitchen when it got soft enough and a few members were requested to enter into the kitchen with Kibo staff so that they would also participate in some building steps. Jessica told the members that they would learn faster once they kept on participating and practicing on their own because practice makes perfect. The members participated in most steps until the stove was complete and then later, Suzan went and looked at some old stoves which were built previously. She reminded each member to keep smearing their stoves at least twice in a month so as to avoid cracking and dust in the kitchens as well as all their buildings. Finally the members were so grateful for the lessons taught that day and the meeting came to an end wishing each other a happy stay.
