Learning Objectives
To meet with the community members so that to plan on how to resume to life skills lessons.
Notes
Manuela went to Bukudomira village to meet with the community leaders and also some members, her reasons was to meet them and discuss on way forward on how to implement life skills lessons for the remaining months. When Manuela reached the village, she found some members waiting for her, she greeted them and asked them to put on their Max’s though others participants did not have, but she told them to come with their max in the next visit, she asked them how they are coping up with COVID 19, they said they are trying to follow some of the measures like washing hands with soap and staying at home etc. After that Manuela started by asking the participants questions about the previous lessons that they learnt in the previous topics. Some of the members tried to share their ideas which was good. For example one man said that they learnt about steps in making good decisions and goal setting, this man went on and told the members that, that lessons helped him a lot. The other person said that they learnt about causes and dangers of early pregnancy and marriage, he went on and said that he was able to talk to his children during the lock down, other people also shared their ideas. After that Manuela went on and explained to members some of the lessons that she taught them and the ones she will be teaching them. Members told Manuela that they would like to learn on Monday other than Wednesday because on that day they have other activities to do. Manuela told them no problems she will be coming on that day. After that day, Manuela went on and explained all lessons under communication skills and the importance of each lesson for example lessons like communication behavior, importance of Assertive behavior and among others, she even told them to always pass on what they have learnt to their children and other members. Conclusion, Manuela ended by encouraging the leaders to continue mobilizing other members to come for the lessons.
