Notes
Suzan went to the upper section of the village to follow up on the maintenance of the program facilities such as the construction of the kitchen roofs, smearing of the buildings and stove usage. When she got there, she went to the VHT’s home and found her sitting outside her house together with a few committee group members who happily welcomed her to the village. They sat down together and briefly discussed about some program activities that were being carried out at the moment. Later after they got up and began walking around the village while visiting some homes which needed to improve on their facilities. Suzan kept on entering the kitchens to monitor the stove usage, firewood storages and the kitchen roofs whereby some had big openings at the roofs which needed to be reconstructed. About 8 stoves needed to be smeared because they had cracks which would easily destroy them in the long ran. Also some firewood storages were becoming weak because of the termites which had begun eating up the poles and now needed to be reconstructed from the ground. Suzan kept on advising the members to improve on all their facilities or even work together as a team to repair each person’s facilities because this would quicken the work especially for those who hardly found free time. At the end, Suzan thanked the members for the work done and then wished them a happy healthy stay with their families.
