- Notes
- Jeska and Tape went to Naibowa village to guide participants as they try to build stoves on their own . The main goal was to enable participants gain a skill of building stoves on their own which will help them to scale out to the neighboring communities thus in increase on the number of stoves built with in a short period of time.
This time they wanted to focus on group c. They reached in the village and found when the participants had already stamped the dirt to form concrete that will be used to build stoves. They had made the dirt for two participants to build for stoves on that day that is Nabirye Hawa and Kawasaki Rose.
Kibo staff divided the participants into two groups whereby Jeska joined one group as Tape joined the other group. Each group was asked to try to build stoves as kibo staff guided them.
All the two semi groups tried to build stoves but the challenge is that they have not yet mastered a skill of measuring banana stems and the distance between the holes for two cooking pots. Kibo staff corrected their mistakes and gave them a task to try to build one stove on their own on Tuesday 3rd November 2020 so that by the time kibo staff goes back in their village on Wednesday 4th November 2020. This because if the stove was not properly built it very easy to dismantle it and build a better since the dirt will still be wet.
The participants promised to try so that kibo will correct them in case they make mistakes.
