Notes
David and Steven were in kamudoke village. Kamudoke is one of the new villages on the list which kibo is projecting to work with in 2021. Initially David ,Martin and Steven,s village plan visit was to go in Busene village and carry out the triggering session. Unfortunately because of the communicated early morning bad news about the death of the Busene village chairman’s wife mr Mudaki Paul who had died . So the WASH crew sat and decided to make a visit to kamudoke village. The kibo,s intentions of going there was to get the clear facts about the borehole status . As soon as the kibo staff reached the village, it was raining therefore on that note the borehole secretary mr Swaga David and the caretaker mr lbrahim Sajjah they took David and Steven to where the borehole was . While they were at the borehole promise ,this is what was noted . The borehole water had changed to brown due to the older rusted galvanized pipes. The borehole had 20 galvanized pipes which needed to be changed with new stainless pipes . When they continued with the discussion while at the borehole promise the secretary Swaga David told the kibo staff that kamudoke village had a population of about 120 members and 65 homes. The secretary continued and told David and Steven that on their borehole account they had 40000 shillings as the borehole account balance. Because of the too much rains the kibo staff did not promise the village about any thing . But they only encouraged them to start practicing the safe water chain. It was after seeing some members who had fetched some water from the borehole with dirty jellycans and some of the homes lacking good hygiene and sanitation facilities in place . In general according to David and Steven,s overview they saw that the village was willing to pattern with the kibo in order to repair the well. Apart from the challenge of the home which had the much need for sanitation improvements.
