Notes
Harriet went to Naibowa village to guide participants as they build stoves on their own. This was intended to enable participants acquire a skill of building stoves because practice makes perfect. She reached in the village and found some participants for group C andD and later own other participants joined.Harriet asked the participants to demonstrate on how to remove banana stems from the previously built stove. The participants agreed that two men to take the lead in this exercise and that was Isabirye Micheal and Irunku Isaac. The participants said that they chose these men to take lead in this because they want them to master a skill of removing banana stems, while other will be in charge of building stoves and the rest in charge of smearing. These two men practically removed the banana stems as kibo staff guided them and it was perfectly done. However when the participants were building this stove on their own they used a very long banana stem in the gap between the two cooking pots. Harriet told them to always be mindful of the distance between the two cooking pots because if they leave a big gap between the two stoves it will affect its effectiveness. She added that fire will take long to move from the the big pot to the small pot or if there no much wind to blow fire the small pot may not cook at all. Later own the participants removed the dirt which was stuck inside the stove and smeared the stove as well as the entire kitchen. Harriet encouraged them to keep on practicing because practice makes perfect.
