how to plant
Notes
Abraham and Chris moved to twenty one homes checking how they planted Mvule trees and they found out that there those who did not follow the guidelines like from a tree to another has to be thirty meters and this is done to only Mvule trees because in future they will have big branches and if they overlap then they will not be any plant grown beneath it because of the shade but like Musizi it is okay to plant as close as 5 meters. Some members have tried to follow the guidelines but still others didn’t and Abraham and Chris advised them to change because the trees have not yet developed the tap root. There is a certain member is called Beera he involved his children in planting of the trees, each child was very happy to show Abraham and Chris the trees they planted. Abraham thanked him and he told him that what he is doing now is to train these children so that even if they grow up they will not forget it. The trees will be there for a long time and in future they will be proud to tell their grand children that look they are the ones who planted them. Abraham advised them to put cages around the trees for protect because when there is a cage animals will not destroy them and also if someone is moving will not step on them. He was so happy because most of the families they have involved their children in caring for the trees. They are hoping that for next visit they will go to the Iwemba sub county and the school to check the trees they planted. They were told by the LC1 chairman that there one of the community members who died of corona virus and the body was on the way for burial and on that same note Abraham encouraged the members to put on the mask because they are now in danger. He told them that he witnessed in Kivule village where they had the same problem but doctors told the preacher to do their work and when they brought the body they just took it straight in the grave without the traditional norm of opening it. The LC1 chairperson said that he is going to sensitize those who have not got the mask to buy one for themselves and their families. For the meeting they will emphasize on putting around cages as Kibo is closing for the year.
