Notes
David and Steven were in kirwanire village. Their intentions of going there was to continue following up on the facility construction and the improvements more especially in the homes which were still lagging behind as well as preparing the residents for the second evaluation. This was after the previous set date for carrying out the second evaluation failing due to the on going rains which had lots of storms in it destroying some of the different peoples sanitation facilities which were already constructed. So as David and Steven were in kirwanire they were joined by the sanitation committee members into the specific homes which were affected by the stronger rains. Fortunately enough most of the affected homes had started maintaining on the affected areas. Interestingly enough the owners of the affected homes for example Mukwata Mohamed and kiyaye kaija they were telling the kibo staff that they never wanted to get bad results during the evaluation process. Therefore during David and Steven,s home to home movements they found the above mentioned members with good sanitation progress of their latrine pits . Also they were in the away from their homes collecting the construction materials. On their way back into their respective homes David and Steven found them . However David was encouraging and reminding the affected members that as they were working hard that at the same time they shouldn’t forget about the rightful standardization as well the sustainability of the new facilities they were constructing. Later after wards the kibo staff went into the trading centre in a brief discussion and the planning ahead about how they will be operating during the second evaluation process. The moslem leader by the names of Kadhili isoota opened the brief discussion with a moslem prayer. After the prayer the sanitation committee chairman requested David to take a-lead of the shorter discussion in preparation for the next coming evaluation. David instead just asked the village chairman how best they would effectively operate. This was important because during the first evaluation some members were not organized enough in order to save time. The village chairman Bogere Hasani planned because of that . He said that the village will be divided into four zones . Also each zone was to have a leader who will moving with the kibo staff for the smoother evaluation exercise. That will be more importantly avoiding the repeating of the homes which will be already done. Another point which was taken note of was the starting time . Since the village was slightly bigger, therefore David requested the members to avail themselves in time . To avoid other residents moving out of their respective homes after waiting for quite a longer time . David also emphasized this as a bigger point. He told the committee members that they should put on their masks before starting on with the evaluation exercise in the different homes . Since covid 19 was on going. David and Steven left the village when ever was ready and prepared waiting for the next coming second evaluation .
