Notes
Harriet went to Ndalike village to guide participants form policies that will coordinate the healthy and safe kitchen program. Prior heading to the village she called the Chairperson LC1 who told her that she should go a head the participants will be available for the meeting. She reached in the village and did not find the participants at the meeting place , she decided to walk home to home to further mobilize participants for the meeting again as she checked on their home facilities as well as encouraged improvement where necessary. She found when some participants have started stocking firewood while two participants reached had their kitchens smeared already which was an encouragement to the program. As she was checking home to home , she reached the home of one of the Vht Mr Mugote George who told her that some medical workers from Namwendwa Health center Four have just called him that there is a mass immunization for children below 2 years. He told her that he also wanted to communicate to kibo staff immediately but the network was poor. This affected Harriet’s meeting because the main target for the meeting were women yet women are the ones responsible to bring their children for immunization which is equally important. Harriet postponed the meeting to 9th November 2020 so that she can meet all the women in the village because formulating policies that will govern the Healthy and safe kitchen program requires active participation. Harriet encouraged all the women baring children below 2years to take their children for immunization for their children to have better health.
