Notes
Irene went to kalitumba to demonstrate the different methods of family planning but since she wanted to end the year with a door to door visit to the different homes to checking out on their hygiene, mothers and their children, nutrition, observe the general health of their homes and to inform, mobilize them for next year’s meetings. Irene visited several homes and with this she met with Aisha a 17 year old with a 4 months baby, married and together they discussed about several things like parenting, family planning, hygiene proper breast feeding techniques and breast attachment also encouraging her to keep coming for the health lessons. Irene still moved to another home with a mother of two whose home was not in a good hygienic condition, herself, the children and inside the house itself so she advised her on hygiene and outcomes of poor hygiene, proper feeding of children, among others. Irene also asked her to come and attend the health lessons because during the health lessons a lot is said and discussed which will help her with her home. Irene moved to several other homes still discussing with the different home members depending on the conditions observed. Irene requested that the next time she visits she will finish up with the other section she had not visited.
