Ida and Diana were in Maliga to teach about how to fix bad parenting and love in the family. Ida started with emphasizing the community to put on masks and also took them through a recap of last week’s lesson which was, good and bad parenting. The community was very vigilant which showed that they understood the topic. Diana started with how to fix bad parenting, asked the community what they do Incase the children become rebellious,Sumaya said, for her she beats hers. I told her that beating is not the solution, they should build a strong relationship with your spouse in bringing up the children. Don’t shout at your children, because you will be pushing them away and they will not disclose their problems to you the parents, teach your children to focus on the needs of others and don’t do things for them. Diana continued with love in the family, she told them that a family is the building rock of the family un a society. If families are protected with a strong bond of love, it stays together, that is a family that prays together stays together. Parents have an important responsibility of holding the family together, remember God has put in your family not by choice. Children that have strong family bonds of love and acceptance are more successful in life. The community was very attentive. Ida also added on, that every important thing in life is a gift from God. You have a choice to fill these moments with laughter and joy. She also told them that children are a gift from God. All children are valued and very important. It is from here that Susan gave her testimony saying that, she is indeed a gift from God, her mother was raped conceived her when she was in S.4. They discriminated her because she was a child got out of rape. The parents told her to abort, but she refused and kept the pregnancy and produced her(Susan), but she turned out to be the only child of the mother.The mother did not conceive again. Ida encouraged them to love their children and respect their opinion. The community appreciated this topic and were really happy. Torrential also brought her concern that her daughter in-law with her children do not respect her, Ida told her that all these make a family, and there should be love and respect in the family.

The community is respecting the issue of putting putting on masks in Maliga. Also the community is free to communicate issues concerning the lessons.
Other Program Observations
The women are following the family planning lessons in the villages. Three women testified going to their husbands and asking them about family planning, which the men agreed to.

The villagers have to put on masks and mobilize other community members.
