Notes
Irene went to Budumba to make a follow up on the different homes,on hygiene, pregnant women, breastfeeding, following up on nutrition and the general home conditions. Irene with the VHT moved to the different homes encouraging individuals to maintain proper hygiene, hanging clothes on wire lines to dry, spreading their beddings out, sweeping the compound, and keeping their utensils clean, and dry. Irene and the VHT moved to several homes and as they moved to the lower section, met 2 year baby with a hernia whose mother says she was requested to pay money for a surgery but doesn’t have. So she requested that if one can help and her baby gets the surgery done. Irene then promised that they would meet next year for more lessons, asked members to keep their homes clean and to avoid places that are having political demonstrations because they may end up injured or even losing their lives.
