- Notes
- Ida went to Ikumbya and taught about "Suffering "
This lesson is one that prepares the community to stand firm in every situation they might go through.
Ida started by asking if there is any one suffering in any way, they all raised their hands and confirmed it. Ida too told them that she suffers which they didn't believe. They said that people in town don't suffer because they have money, cars, they don't dig and good hospitals are in town.
Ida told them that people in town suffer more than they think. They pay for everything even toilets! Banana leaves and dodo, rent etc.
Both people who leave in town and in the village must not blame any one or God for our suffering.
Many people in the Bible asked this question who is responsible for someone's suffering? E.g. Job,Joseph the one with a coat with many colors,Naomi lost every one,the blind man in the New Testament asked if it was his parents etc.
All those people listed above suffered a lot but were faithful to God.
Jesus suffered but remained obedient to death. He never blamed anyone but went on the cross willingly to buy us back!
Sometimes we don't need to know everything but only have faith. Our Lord Jesus overcame suffering and we believe as his followers, we'll overcome too.
Sin is the general cause of our suffering but through Jesus we are victorious. This lesson touched many and confessed how they have been blaming God's people for nothing. Ida gave them a memory verse for the week to meditate upon as they seek for forgiveness and show love instead of hate.
John 16:33. This will always remind us the reason as to why we are suffering and thank God all the time not only in good times.
