Notes
Alex went to Buyange village to carry out the borehole survey. He joined the surveyor in Namutumba very early in the morning at 6 am to begin the process of borehole survey. The surveyor thought from the very beginning that it would be very easy to get a good water point but very unfortunate that it turned up to be very challenging to even get one good water point. It took them the whole day before getting one suitable water point. He had to even cross to another village called Bukasa to measure the water level of a newly constructed borehole by the government. This was about 3km from Buyange. On a very good note however, they managed to get one suitable water point later in the evening and was in the Mr Salumini’s land. This still was very suitable to have this water point at this location. Every body in the community was very happy at the end of the day after being worried that they were not going to find water in their community. The surveyor too was getting worried because the results he was getting were very unpromising. The hope is that this point will have water after drilling.
