- Irene went to Naisamula to introduce her first lesson to the community about seeking medical services. Giving the different services offered at health facilities like family planning,antenatal,postnatal,laboratory,immunization services, Irene encouraged members to embrace these services because the Government offers them for free. Irene then asked the members some of the reasons as to why they fail to seek health services. Ignorance,Nairuba said some people don’t know the outcome Incase a condition worsens keeping at home and hence loosing their lives. And some members have no idea which services are offered in different places. Poverty, family misunderstandings,traditional beliefs, health worker’s attitude, lack of equipment and medication, long distances, inadequate health workers,lack of qualified health workers among others. Discussing the solutions to some of the hindrances to seeking medical services Irene asked the members to allow her come with a government official so they can raise their problems.
