Notes
Tom made a visit to kishaike village to conduct and supervise the surveying of the new water point for a borehole. When he arrived in the village, he found when the surveyors had already finished surveying two sites but only marked one as a potential site. The surveyors briefed Tom about the site but suggested that unless otherwise they would not even recommend to drill in that site because of the lower reading for water. They moved in four more points until one point was found on the lower section of the village. At his point this point the surveyor felt more confident of finding water there. The village residents were happy that a new site was located after they were disappointed because the first site had no water. From that the drillers, surveyors, village residents and Tom all moved to the first site of drilling. The drillers suggested that they blow into the first hole to see and measure the water yield. During the blowing they all greed that the water yield in the hole was very poor and low for a borehole. At that point the drillers moved their machines to the new site ready for drilling the next day. Tom also used the time in the village to encourage residents on the upper section no to be disappointed because they never got a borehole in their section but t rather be happy and thankful for being able to get a new site for water. The community members all thanked kobo for their efforts to see that their village gets water. Tom also encouraged the residents to continue collecting Money for the borehole account and other borehole expenses.
