Notes
Abraham met sixteen Kivule community members and the purpose was to continue discussing how they are going to care for the goats. They moved to one of the community member’s home because where they used to meet under the mango tree the neighbor was having a function and there was a loud music going on and they decided to move to one of the members place. The chairperson Mr Christopher told the meeting that he met the vet doctor who told him that if they want to treat goats it is easy if they do it as a group because he can not come only to work on one animal but if the are many then he can schedule a day to treat them at once. He said that the tab for deworming goats costs two hundred shillings and this is always done when it rains and new grass comes with worms which makes animals to have diarrhea, it need one tab to give each goat so that they can eat the new grass without having diarrhea. The chairman of the group said that most of them have built goat shelter and also some are maintaining their kitchen but he said some kitchens have weak door and they need to work on that. Abraham thanked the chairman to get that information because as the Vet doctor said it is easier for him to come and treat a number of animals not only one. He emphasized that the Vet doctor said that it is cheaper to work on many goats than one and that is why Kibo wants them to work as a group. The chairman LC1 told Abraham that for the next meeting for them together with the group chairman will move home to home to check the shelters for goats because there those who have not come to the meeting and all the members agreed. So for the next meeting will be meeting them in their homes especially those who have not yet finished the shelters.
