Notes
Abraham met twelve Kitukiro community members and the purpose was to discuss about how they are going to do the poultry project yet they have other projects like making bricks, savings and growing passion fruits. Abraham was told by the chairperson that one of the community member lost a kid and some members had gone to attend the funeral. She said that they have been thinking how they are going work together and they came up with the idea that let each group A and B concentrate on certain projects for easy monitoring. These two groups came because of coronavirus whereby they were not allowed to meet as a all group that is why they decided to divide the group into two, another group remained at the original place and another moved their meetings near Kibuuka’s home. Each group now has the leaders yet when it comes for working they work together as one group. They both save money and give the members soft loans whereby the members bring back with some small interests. They contributed for registering their group and now waiting to get their certificate of registration from the CDO. Group A decided to make bricks so that they can sell them to add to their savings and group B decided to grow passion fruits to add to their savings. Group B told Abraham that group A is moving so first which may bring a problem in future because also in the beginning they wanted to each member to save five thousand shillings which was a burden to others because of their income. Abraham thanked all groups what they are doing but it is always good to think about many things in what they are doing for example in the beginning when they wanted to start saving and some members wanted to save five thousand shillings, all do not have the same income so as a group to be together they have discuss and find the amount which all member will be able to save and agree on it. It is good that they decided each group to be doing a certain project like now group A will concentrate on poultry while group be growing passion fruits. He told them always to start small but when you start big and things does not work out you loose much but you learn as you grow. He advised them since they got the knowledge how to keep chickens from Ida to use them. Abraham request group A to meet and discuss, put down on paper what is required to do poultry so that the next meeting they will be discussing how to get those requirements.
