Notes
Abraham and Alex B met eight Kivule community members and the purpose was to discuss how they are going to get goats. The chairperson Mr Christopher told the meeting that they met and finished picking ballot papers to know who will be the first to get a goat and the last. This is done because during the time of picking the goats it is easy to know who is the first to pick the rope and the last to pick. The goats are hidden in a house or a room so that the ropes are brought outside and they are not supposed to see them as they pick the ropes. The chairperson said that when they were carrying out the excessive of picking the one who was not regularly attending the meeting she is the one picked the first ballot paper and some members were complaining that for them they were coming to the meeting regularly and picked far numbers. Abraham thanked the members for meeting and choosing who will be the first and the last getting goats, he told them that when they meet and discuss before Kibo staff comes it makes a meeting so good because now they will be putting those names in their file as they arrange their photos. Abraham and Alex told the members that picking the first ballot paper is not the issue but how they will care for the goats matters a lot, they find out that the last member may get a cow before that one who got first. They reminded them to continue making goats shelters clean and also as they discussed that they will be treating goats as a group together. Abraham told the chairperson to mobilize all members so that in the next meeting they are going to discuss about the ballot papers they picked to make members not to complain about those who picked first numbers. They are also to follow up with the CDO for their certification of registration for the group.
