Notes
Enock made a visit to this community to carry out the last evaluation survey in the homes which we didn’t cover in the last visit. I met with the local leaders who where waiting for me to walk together in these homes to check on the sanitation improvements as well as encouraging those who are still constructing to construct good and sustainable facilities. We managed to cover all the homes which where missing and noted down all the data of latrines, shower areas, dish racks, hand washing stands, rubbish pits and wire lines for clothes. As we walked around we continued encouraging the standardization of all the facilities, reminded the residents to roof there latrines, use cement, sand and bricks of they can afford to build strong facilities. As wash we have been talking about encouraging the residents who are building new homes or houses to first construct a latrine before they completed there main house. We have been encouraging and empowered local leaders to take the lead in there community to put guidelines on new houses to first construct a latrine. This is now evident in this community where all new residents are building latrines before they construct there houses. I saw about 10 new homes with latrine structures be before the main house. This village has now put some laws guiding them on how every new residents has to do before completing there new houses.
