Alex went to meet with the water and sanitation committee members together with the village leaders making final plans for the borehole commissioning on Monday 24/05/2021. Alex also conducted the last training of the water user committee reminding them of their respective roles and responsibilities towards their new borehole and review their bylaws that were enacted by the village. For the last four months, this village has been enjoying fresh water from the new borehole that was recently punched by kibo group. So far there are no issues with the borehole and the community is ready for official hand over of the borehole by kibo group. This is a very important step of commissioning because it involves all the stakeholders to be present and witness what kibo group has done in the village. Alex had to pass by the district to mobilize once more the water officer to attend the commissioning on Monday. This is going to be a joint commissioning day with the stoves program as they also wind up their work in the village. The village leaders and the sanitation committee were very happy to host kibo group staff and the government in their village and proudly show every body what kibo group has done in their village and what they will continue to do to maintain what they have done. Alex reminded the water and sanitation committee of their roles and responsibilities to play and maintain a safe water chain. All the committee members should remain active at all times that is when they will ensure borehole functionality in the village. The borehole account has to have money at all times to cater for the borehole future breakdowns and be able to repair it as soon as possible when anything happens. Kibo group staff together with the relevant government officials will be ready on Monday to go back to Ndhalike village and hold the commissioning with the community members.

2021-05-24 - Purpose: To attend borehole commissioning party and stoves commissioning with the community members and the government officials from Kamuli district.
