Notes
Tom met village leaders and discussed Kibo’s return to the village after the lockdown. They welcomed kibo back. The village leadership promised to continue encouraging residents to make sure that every home has a latrine. A few latrine were constructed during the lockdown about 5 and now only two members are yet to finish their latrines. The members continue with constructing hand washing stands and constructing of new dish racks. Members asked about the hesitancy around covid vaccines but Tom encouraged them to go and take the vaccine or ask questions to the doctors at the hospital to get more clear responses instead of relying on hearsay. Tom plans to conduct the third evaluation in the village in the month of August. Tom also passed by the district offices and met the health inspector. He mentioned Kibo’s sanitation program in the village and Kibo’s intended plan of drilling a deep well. He was thankful to kibo for the work and encouraged kibo to continue working in the village and district at large
