- Kalitumba village, Irene and Maria went to Kalitumba village to teach the community about Nutrition and dirt. The chairperson welcomed everyone in the meeting,which was opened with a word of prayer, thanked kibo for the good work done in their communty which has created awareness on different aspects of life from living a good social life to good health beheiviours. He then invited irene to communicate to the members and also re-introduce the new member to the village. Irene thanked everyone for turning up, protecting themselves from COVID19 throuh following the guidlines on its spread, keeping themselves and the environment clean, encouraging them to utilize the rain season to plant different foods so that they have plenty in their homes. Irene made a review on the previous lessons and then introduced the lesson ( Nutrition/ diet) during the discussion,memebers defined nutrition,deffrentiating the different foods needed to make a balanced diet,and return demonstrations were done for proper understanding. Maria was invited to teach the signs and symptoms of Maltrinution,and by the end of the lesson members where able to identify cases of mulnutrition even amongest the group members. During the discussion one of the members identified a baby and mother with mild mulnutrition with whom the members advised to use the knowledge given to inprove on her health. Further still one of the members, the VHT Zaina said she is inviting members who need more advise on making different food combinations using locally available foods to go to her. The meeting was closed with a word of prayer. The VHT together with the chairperson thanked everyone for coming and one member closed with a word of prayer.
