Notes
Harriet inspected smearing of the home facilities, some people had smeared and those who had not smeared them were encouraged to do so. Also it was observed that most participants with dry stoves had started cooking on them. As Harriet was walking around the village, she came across one of the participants called Nabirye who used three stones fire to mingle posho, used her stove to cook other things but not cooking posho on it reason being she thought the stove would easily crack if she mingled posho on it. She did not want to loose it since she valued it so much. Harriet taught her how to mingle on her stove, encouraged to remove the three stones from the kitchen to avoid being tempted to cook on them again. Then Harriet taught the participants how to remove banana stems from the previously built stoves, asked them to participate in removing banana stems next time because practice makes perfect. In this village the men are also active in the program.
