- Enock made a visit in this community to continue checking on the progress of sanitation and hygiene improvements more so in the hand washing construction and use. He took the last batch of jerrycans to this community as a support form kibo group in promoting proper hand washing behaviors and use. When he reached the community, he meet with the chairman LC1 of nawandyo A who he gave a task to also distribute jerrycans to only members who completed the construction of hand washing stands. After him receiving they walked together with Enock to give out jerrycans and also continue encouraging the residents on the core importance of hand washing, emphasize the maintenance in homes which have embraced the program as we encouraged those who are still lagging behind to improve their sanitation. The hand washing campaign has really created a great impact in this community where some residents who learnt how to construct hand washing stands have also been teaching the neighboring village and trading centre of kibale. As we walked around we saw hand washing stands and jerrycans in those villages. There has been a great spill off effect of the hand washing program and general sanitation improvements. After we drove to nawandyo B where we took some jerrycans to hand to the local leaders who where also waiting for us. There has also been some good hand washing stands in this community, we emphasized the local leaders to continue encouraging, monitoring and guiding fellow residents on how to construct good hand washing facilities and also maintain proper sanitation standards.
