Notes
Martin, Steven and Kenneth, were in Busene, their intention was to follow up on the sanitation and hygiene improvement, as well as to encouraging the residents to construct good standard facilities and sustainable facilities. Good enough, to compare to the last trip kibo staff went to that village, even if others are still behind to work on their home facilities. The big number of homes, have worked so hard on their new home facilities for example Paul Basalilwa, the Chairman LC1 in that village, he constructed a strong and better shower area with bricks and cement, Steven Kibwiika, he dug the new pit latrine 30ft deeper and he is planning to construct it, Edith Naigaga, she’s a widow but she worked on the new strong latrine, shower area and she is planning to construct a new dish rack, and Betty Kawanguzi, the VHT and she is also a widow, but she worked so hard on the new pit latrine, rubbish pit, the shower area etc. The group was just encouraging the residents about the standards, maintenance and to know that it’s their responsibility to work on them. For those who are still lagging behind to work on their new home facilities, the group was just encouraging them, to increase the speed working on them. As kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, the group walked around in 38homes.
