Notes
Martin went to ltuba Namalowe to check on sanitation and hygiene improvement in the section of the trading center. To check on those homes that are still working on their latrines. He walked around that section with the Chairman LC1 and one VHT, unfortunately it’s raining too much in that so many houses, latrines, kitchens and shower areas, which were not constructed to a good standard was destroyed by the heavy rain. Those homes whose sanitation facilities were destroyed, have started constructing better strong latrines, houses and shower facilities with bricks and cement. Martin and the group were encouraging the community members about the standards and maintenance as well as the value of constructing strong sanitation facilities. The community members promised them that they are going to work hard on their sanitation facilities, because they have seen the value of having them in their homes. Martin and the group walked in 37homes.
