Notes
Abraham and Alex B met twenty Kitukiro community members and the chairperson Mss Base told the meeting that they met and decided to start with making bricks because the member of parliament Mr Magogo told them to make thirty thousand bricks as a community and he will buy them. She said that there is a contract of building a sub county offices in Bugaya sub county so if they make bricks they will be taken immediately. She also added them the member of parliament gave them some things to assist in making bricks like big containers of water and molds for making bricks. She is hoping that if they make thirty thousand bricks they will get like three million shillings because each brick will be sold at one hundred shillings and this will be a starting point for them to do other things. Abraham and Alex B thanked the members for at least coming up with one thing the hope to do as a community. Alex B told the community to think how they will keep their money because according to them they estimate to get three million shillings and the challenge will be how to keep the money. Abraham added that keeping records is also a good thing because the members will know how their money is being spent. The chairperson told the meeting that they are thinking of opening a community bank account and they are going to buy books where they will be keeping their records. They will be finalizing with community economic project in the next meeting.
