Chris went to this village with th chief parish chief mr umar kagere, the community members had issues concerning the government development program and the community registration at the subcounty, the meeting was limited to only community leaders due to covid restrictions. The parish chief mr umar kagere stated that one of the problems facing many community associations in the area is the mistrust of community members towards government programs, he said this is because many CDOs do not reach on the ground to sensitise the communities on government programs therefore this leaves th communities at the mercy of conmen who flee with their money however the parish chief encouraged the community leaders to always use the right channels . The parish chief talked about the community registration at the subcounty, he said currently the government innitiative of parish development model is only focussing on 30 people per a registered group yet kibo group emphasizes on registering the whole community however the parish chief said if the number exceeds 30 people in the community they can go ahead and register two or three groups in order to benefit from the government programs, the parish chief however thanked kibo group fkr preparing the communities well and building the bridge between the communities and the government however the parish chief encouraged the community leaders to mobilize the community members whenever kibo group brings lessons to the community. The chairman mr david thanked chris for inviting the Parish chief to shade more light on how they can benefit from government programs, th chairman said this has brought some relief in the community because many community members were doubting about it. Chris will go back on 08/10/2021 to continue with lessons on economic activities as well as follow up on community registration at the subcounty offices.
