Diana and Ida went to Bukudumira to teach the causes and effects of school dropouts in this community. The chairman mr. Peter thanked Kibo as an organization for showing them tremendous love. They have been blessed, spiritually, emotionally, physically and economically. He said that few organizations do what Kibo does. He told the community to join hands and clap for the entire Kibo team. They all did that with joy on their lips. This is because they had received goats from Kibo organization. Ida thanked them for appreciating what Kibo does and welcoming community empowerment programs.She told them to embrace all the Kibo programs not only to receive tangible things, but also to attend lessons. Because Kibo works holistically. They agreed that they will respect all Kibo programs. Diana thanked them for their time. She congratulated them for having received the goats. She asked them about the causes of school dropouts. Swaibu said hunger, long distance, beating the children from school, are some of the causes of school dropouts, Ida said poor health and starvation. Diana thanked them for their good contribution. She told them that indeed poor health and starvation can make the children to drop out of school. When the child is hungry he or she can not concentrate in class making them to drop out of school to look for food. Teacher student relationship. These also have made children to drop out of school, as teachers force children to fall in love with them or demand for sex. The age of the child, peer pressure. Some times children get bad influence from their friends, some of them start taking drugs, early sex. Ida told the community that there are a lot of effects, that it leads to early marriages, some children become suicidal, involvement with the criminals. Ida went a head to teach, and told the community that they should get serious on their children. The chairman thanked everyone one who attended. He told them that those who have ears should listen and put everything that is taught to them into consideration.
