Notes
Suzan and Tape went to the village to follow up on the stove building progress, firewood storages and stove usage. When they arrived there, they were so impressed to find some of the active men participating in the stove building with their wives, From fetching dirt from the anthill, measurements, stamping it and building the stoves. That was the second stove they were building because the group chairperson mr waiswa reported that they started the whole activity early in the morning. After stamping the dirt, Kibo staff entered the kitchen and made sure the members took rightful measurements before building the stove since that was still the main challenge they faced. Later on a few members remained at the home and continued with the stove building as others walked along with Kibo staff while monitoring the stove usage and maintenance of other facilities. On their way Kibo staffs found some women happily cooking on their new stoves and had stocked enough firewood on their storages. The women looked so neat and happy while cooking on their stoves, others reported that their husbands help them in preparing food for the family Incase they are still in the garden. One lady eseza reported that they eat well cooked food on time yet warm enough although the fire goes out from the stove. Suzan and Tape thanked each one for maintaining their facilities and cooking on the stoves and encouraged them to see that they built stoves for the remaining members before the program came to and end. The community members thanked Kibo staff for the visit and advice given and wished them a safe journey back home.
