While on his way to the community Chris recieved a call from Mr Okanya inviting him for a brief meeting involving all development partners in the subcounty, the meeting was about discussing the district financial report and to appreciate the NGOs that have helped extend the services closer to the people, while there chris appreciated the local leaders for giving kibo group permision to work in the communities and mobilizing these communities to embrace all the Kibo group programs. However chris reported a challenge of community registration and obtaining the certificate which he said take long and in the long run makes the whole process very expensive which sabotages many of the community activities manwhile the CDO Mr Enock together with the district concillor Mr Okanya pledged to help the NGOs and other development partners do their work well in the communities. While in the community chris appreciated the community members ,for they decided that they would be saving their money every friday and they have not deviated at all, this was evident when chris found members discussing how they intend to ammend their membership list to add other members who want join them . The chairperson of the community saving scheme said their project has attracted many more members thats the reason they want to ammend and accomodate new members. The district concillor Mr Okanya also updated the community members on the ongoing government development programs where they are giving money to already registered community groups, Mr Okanya said money is already at the parish level but is being rolled out to only registered and organized community groups , therefore he encouraged the community members to intensify working together and contribute towards the registration of their community group. Meanwhile chris reminded the community about the porpose of registering the community and having an economic activity that binds them together, he said mvule program is preparing them to work on their own in the near future , he said admitting new members in the community group was a great idea however the new members must adhere to the objectives and pourpose of the community group. Chris will continue with lessons on constitution writing next week on 22/10/2021.
