Notes
Martin went to Kagulu village to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement in the section of the trading centre, to check on those homes which had latrines that were broken by the heavy rain. He walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee. Martin found that they had worked so hard on their latrine constructions, kitchens and shower facilities.Members like Jafali Njagule constructed a new latrine and a new kitchen, an old man called Eliyasa wele also constructed a new latrine, Bosco Nabeta’s latrine was broken, but he worked on it, and he told him that he is happy for kibo’s program because he said that Kagulu as a village was badly off when it came to sanitation and hygiene, Charles Ngode also constructed his latrine. Generally the community members have worked so hard on their sanitation facilities, even if they are busy in their gardens.
