Notes
Abraham and Alex W had gone to Buluvu village to meet with the community discussed with Buluvu community members but they found the village having a twin celebration. There is a traditional culture in Busoga about a family which has got twins so there was a dance and many members attended so they decided to meet a few people and resolved to reschedule the meeting to next week. Then Abraham and Alex W moved to Kisiro village to meet with the village leaders to plan and prepare for the baseline survey. They found all LC1 chairpersons of eight LCs of Kisiro village and discussed about their support towards Kibo program because they did not do well during WASH period. These leaders were encouraged to pull up their socks and get involved in the Kibo group programs. They were criticized for not being involved and active in the WASH Kibo program. This made the program move very slow and difficult for Kibo group. The Kibo WASH staff had even proposed to take Kisiro off Kibo active villages but have decided to give a second chance to this village. The village leaders really appreciated Kibo group for the second chance given and asked Kibo group for forgiveness having agreed that for sure they were not very active in the first program but have promised to step up this time round. One of the community leaders from Kisiiro called Mr Oniara peter confessed that Kibo helped him to get a pit latrine in his home and yet he never had one for the whole of his life in his home. His wife confessed that she had been married to peter for more than 10 years and never had a pit latrine. Mvule community development program is hoping to go back in Kisiro and they wanted check on them to see if they are going to work together. They will plan to conduct a baseline survey in this village in preparation to start working in this village next year.
