While in this village chris and bamulumbye continued with discussions on economic activities, last week’s discussions ended when chris assigned the communitynwith the task of identifying the available resources and the economic activities that fall with in, they had proposals of growing cocoa fruits, sweetvbanana plantations and saving however chris advised them to give it some time to observe more and identify the resourses around and how to execuute them, this stage is very important to Mvule program because it helps the community realise their potential to know that actually solutions to their problems are with in their community it only takes a united community to realise how to solve those problems. During the meeting chris reviewed the last lesson economic activities, he reminded them that buyange village should get an identity, something to define the community but only in terms of trade and economic activities. The chairperson Mrs Kasoga Norah thanked chris for the assignment of observing the available resources in the community and the economic activities that fall with in , the chairperson reported that every community member executed their tasks very well however when they convened a meeting on saturday, they evaluated the resourses and the economic activities every member presented and decided to go on with Onion growing and saving scheme, the chairperson said land was available and water as well , mr Mujib offered 1.5 acres of land to the community to grow the onions, mr farouk kairu pledged to offer advise and his expertise in growing onions to the community and the rest of the community members pledged to work together as a group. Mrs Kasoga Norah the chairperson thanked the kibo staff for opening their eyes to discover their potential and realise that solutions to their problems are within the community, the chairperson also reported that the community members decided to compliment onion growing with saving project, she said they will be sitting every wednesday where every member will be saving 1000 shillings into the saving box however she requested the CDO to visit their community, chris pledged to request the CDO to plan a visit to the community meanwhile chris will continue with discussions on the economic activities but majorly on identifying the challenges smd benefits of onion growing and how to overcome the challenges, the discussions contiue next week. 
Next Visit
2021-11-10 - Purpose: To continue with lessons on economic activities( discuss about the onion growing and saving projects) and as well take the CDO to guide the community members on community registration with the government.
