- Village Notes
- Ida went to Ikumbya to discuss with the community the way forward since she's phasing out. Ida encouraged them to continue meeting even if she is not around. The community promised Ida that they will not stop meeting because Mvule program is on ground but asked Ida not to disappear for ever.
Ida told them that she will be visiting once in a while and also will be calling them for updates.
The community chose three people who will be conducting lessons.
1 Jane Wakuluna
2 Nabirye Rose
3 John wankuluna
These people have done great bringing the community together. Nabirye asked if there will be a small thing (incentive).Ida assured them that there was NOTHING. The community is taking ownership and it's up to them to decide what to do not Kibo. Ikumbya is very happy because Kibo is not completely leaving them but has sent Mvule program to continue with the mission.
Jane Wankuluna asked for the lessons , George said there was no need of the lessons that were already covered, he volunteered to make lessons as per the situation. He said they have already gone through all the lessons taught to them by Ida and they will just need to put these into practice. He however said that they will discuss lessons as per what is happening in their village. For example if the sanitation is declining then they will address this, if there is anyone they have identified as needy in the community they will discuss and find solutions. Ida thought this was a great idea. They thanked Kibo for the love they have shown them.
