Abraham and Alex B met Buluvu community members to discuss about having a new committee because the old committee was not functioning well and the mobilization has been very poor. The meeting point has been also a problem and all members agreed to meeting to be at Kasime’s home where there is a shade of a mango tree. The LC1 Mr Bumali told the meeting that one of the community members lost a relative and some members had gone to pay condolences. The community decided to have new leaders and they elected six leaders, Mrs Namuyoga Joweriya chairperson, Mr Musabala Bosco vice chairperson, Mrs Kasime as the secretary, Namukose Madina treasurer and two mobilizers. The new chairperson Mrs Joweriya told the members to cooperate because most times the members leave everything to the committee members. Alex B and Abraham encouraged the new committee to carry on the work and make sure every community member is on the same page not like the previous committee who were not committed because they couldn’t mobilize members well, it has been a challenge to come and meet few members of the community while others saying they did not know about the meeting. They reminded to a brace love and unity for the smooth running of the community project.leaders were encouraged to have meetings and then call for community meetings. The community members discussed and concluded that they are going to officially introduce the new committee to all community members in the next meeting as they finish with tree inspection.
