Notes
Manuela went to Kivule primary school to attend parents meeting, this meeting was planned to discuss with the parents about how they can start taking good care of their children and providing for them all the basic needs that any child would be happy to enjoy in life. It dose not mean parents do not provide for their children, they do but not all the time and not effectively. Objective of the meeting By the end of the lesson parents will be able to know the values of educating their children. By the end of the meeting parents will be able to know the importance of taking their responsibility as parents to wards their children. Manuela discussed with the parents about three things for example, values of educating their children, parents responsibility towards their children and finally they also discussed about personal hygiene for children, homes and themselves. Manuela told the parents that if they educate their children they will not get problems in future like fighting over land and other property because they will be employed and working and they will have their own property. During the discussion some parents confessed that it is true that they were forgetting their responsibility towards their children simply because of their in come (money). Not only that some parents also said that they will start providing for their children if their children start cooperating with them because some children are big headed and they don’t have discipline. Some parents appreciated Manuela for what she is doing, that she is really trying to model their children which is good and if they come home some children try to share what they have learnt during Life Skills lesson.
