Notes
Jeska went to the village to guide the community members on how to form their own policies that will guide them during the, program implementation. When she arrived, she found the community members already gathered at the meeting place who warmly welcomed her to the village. After exchanging greetings, Jessica explained how the lesson was going to be carried out by letting each one participate in giving answers when she asks questions. The policies that will be formed should be followed by every member for an effective program and if any member doesn’t follow the policies, they shall be encouraged to do so, so that the healthy and safe kitchens program moves on smoothly. The community members began forming policies as follows while Jeska guided them throughout. 1. Time management during the program activities. Everyone should be coming for the meetings or any program activities in time, but if one comes in late without clear reason, they should pay a fine of five hundred Ugandan shillings. 2, A member should be able to inform the committee group leaders of any sudden situations such as sickness or death which can hinder them to attend any program lessons. 3. Everyone should participate during the program activities especially when the stove building lessons begin instead of just sitting and watching others do the work alone. At the end of the meeting, Jessica asked all the members if they were contented with the policies formed and they all accepted. Jeska thanked all the members for attending the meeting that day and wished them well until the next coming lessons.
