Notes
Enock visited this village to check on the latrine construction, dish rack, shower areas, kitchen area, clean compounds, use of ash, hand washing facilities, cloth lines and there uses, making proper drainage system on the showers and digging a soak pit where all the water from the shower goes to. Enock started with the chairman’s L.C 1 where thwy saw a new Latrine constructed, then went to check in the homes of the VHts since they are all leaders in this village and have to be examples to the rest of the community members. In the homes of the vhts, they have all the facilities except one VHT who has not yet roofed his latrine and just dug a new rubbish pit. They then proceeded to the area near the swamp and also homes in the trading centre where some of the residents are digging new pit latrines and all the pick axes are super busy doing the work of digging pits. They met some people constructing latrine structures as some were reconstructing pits which had fallen due to heavy rains. Despite the slow progress at the moment as many people are busy in their gardens cultivating and weeding, they are working hard to improve on the sanitation and hygiene of the village. Although there are many new Latrines in homes and the residents using them,Enock encouraged them to use ash in the latrines everyday to keep them clean.
