Enock made a visit to check on the progress of hand washing construction, took the second batch of jerrycans for the people who have completed constructing the hand washing stand. As he reached the community he first walked around the community to check on the progress of hand washing construction, evaluate the standard of construction, teaching and encourage all the residents to embrace the new model and use the hand washing jerrycan with soap or Omo detergent to wash hands neatly and kill germs before eating any meal or shaking hands. There are so by people who have built good hand washing stands, some homes have new latrines and where asking of it was okay for kibo to give them two jerrycans since COVID is still around to construct two stands one in the front and one next to the latrine. I responded to them and told them at the moment we are giving one jerrycan for all household but if you want to have two stands you can construct the second stand and get and small jerrycan to use for now since it’s important to wash hands which carry a lot of germs and viruses. But when kibo has more funding, may be in future we shall be giving two jerrycans. The chairman is so empowered and impressed by the community members who have greatly embraced the program, they buy cement and use brings as they construct the stands. As the chairman and his team reached the second batch of jerrycans, they recorded down all the jerrycans and started distributing to those homes which have completed the construction of the stands. This is is the first village wash team has seen chairman and his team working hard to record all the people who have completed the stand, recording details of homes which have bought cement to construct, all homes which have taken the jerrycans and this team also walks around every day encouraging the to take the hand washing program seriously. There are bought 53 new hand washing stands already constructed.
