Martin and Steven were in Bulungu, their intention was to meet with the local leaders and discuss about how they are going to work on kibo’s program. They reached at the village, when the local leaders had already gathered at the chairman LC1’s home. They welcomed them in a happyness way by the Chairman LC1 and the group. After that they had an opening prayer by Robert Kisambira, and they had a speak from the Chairman LC1 welcoming the kibo staff and opening the meeting to the group. So after that, the kibo staff, introduced themselves telling them were they come from, and their purpose of going their and to walk around the village in few homes, to assess the village about home facilities and were they get Water. Then the Chairman LC1, stood up again and told the kibo staff that, they are a hundred twenty households in that village. After that, the group decided to walk around to assess the village about home facilities. But good enough, in the homes they walked in, they’re some home facilities like latrines, rubbish pits, shower areas, kitchens and dish racks, but they need more encouragement about the standards and maintenance. On the side of water, they don’t have any single borehole in that village, the boreholes were they used to get water, are far from that village. So because of that situation, they used to get water from the swamp, sharing with cows. Because it was the first time, the group walked 10homes.
