Notes
Enock made a visit to this community to continue checking on sanitation and hygiene improvements focusing on latrine constructions and usage, shower areas and proper drainage systems to keep the shower rooms clean, dish racks and encourage usage, rubbish pits, emphasize hand washing construction and use of soap to wash hands, encourage those homes which have lagged behind to bring them up to speed so that all the community looks great as one. As we walked around the community, we encouraged all the residents to continue the good work of constructing good standard facilities, use of ash in latrines, sweep their compounds, use hand washing facilities regularly as they remind their children who are vulnerable and prone to diseases like Diarrhea due to open defecation and not washing hands before any meal. During the visit, we noted how the community residents have greatly improved and invested a lot of money to use bricks, cement and sand to construct sustainable facilities. The subcounty health assistant greatly encouraged the residents to Amin the facilities, thanked kibo for the commitment and work they are doing to improve sanitation and hygiene in their subcounty area. He also said this village is of the model when they are referring on sanitation improvements. After we held a meeting on issues regarding borehole repair. The community has now completed their percentage and willing to bank the money to kibo so that there borehole is repaired and fixed.
