Maria went to Nawampiti to demonstrate the different types of family planning and also introduce maternal, infant and child health. The chairperson mr Richard thanked all the participants and encouraged them to attend in big numbers, Catherine then opened the meeting with a word of prayer thereafter Maria was welcomed to speak to the participants. Maria thanked all the members for coming, made a review of the previous lesson through asking members what we learnt, then she introduced the lesson as demonstration of the different types of artificial family planning and also do the introduction of Maternal, infant and child health As Maria was demonstrating the different types of family planning and how they are used or inserted, Sarah was curious to know how the IUD is inserted and weather a male health worker an in also insert it. Maria said that the IUD is inserted in the woman’s private part( in the uterus), she said that the IUD is safe any every qualified health worker can insert it weather man or woman. She went ahead to tell them that health workers are trained to keep secrets All the artificial family planning methods were well explained and demonstrated and members had to touch most of the types. Further still members together with Maria discussed the causes of maternal mortality death, child death. Namukose said that some women don’t attend antenatal care, some men do not take their responsibility of supporting women to seek antenatal care and even save some money for hospital after giving birth. Yacobo the VHT said that women do no tell their husbands that they are pregnant, Maria encouraged the members mostly the women to always go for any as early as possible, encouraged men to give support to their wives, save money for emergencies, if at any moment you bleed while pregnant, go to hospital as early as possible. Members where then advised to keep the SOPs during this Christmas season and to take good care of their lives, after the meeting was ended by the VHT Mr Yacobo who thanked the Kibo staff the continuous love towards Nawampiti village.
