Ida went to Bukoma C to continue teaching about solutions to domestic violence . She thanked the community members for participating actively during the recap. She then continued with the topic of the day discussing with members about solutions to domestic violence. : 1: Provision of emotional support. The victims of abuse need to be provided with emotional support through the following means: a. Provision of self help through support groups. b. Developing courses on parenting skills. c. Organizing sessions that teach people how to deal with issues of domestic violence. 2: Availability of crisis intervention strategies: a. Provision of shelters or other emergency residential facilities. b: Provision of medical services. 3: Provision of advocacy and legal assistance that include the following a. Access to and custody of children. b. Provision of financial support. c. Provision of public assistance benefits. Wilberforce added that provision of housing and safe accommodations. Whereas George said that making it easy for victims to access community services. Erima Fred the chairperson said that extensive, cultural messages usually make a difference not merely what the youths witness and hear from their families and neighbors but as well as from those who are their role models on televisions and in spotting arenas. A member suggested that children should be taught how men should treat women and the appropriate ways to suitably express their emotions. Ida encouraged members to always listen more, love and forgive each other.
