- Ws Notes
- David and Steven went to kigalama to guide the community members on how to construct, the remaining part of their borehole fence and how they were supposed to maintain their old soak pit. They found when the members had constructed half way of the fence using smaller poles . They therefore encouraged the members to go and cut the right sizes of poles for the fence. They went and came back with the right sizes of the poles.David thanked them for the hard work. After all that the members together with David and Steven they started building the fence as they were guiding them on what should be done. .As they were constructing the Kibo staff emphasized much more about safe water chain and full borehole ownership. They told them that it wouldn’t be always the Kibo staff maintaining and repairing for them the borehole. In addition to the above after having finished the fence construction they advised them to always hold borehole and sanitation meetings in order to manage any pressing need .The treasurer miss kayinza also informed David and Steven that they collected 250000 shillings. They were not able to get the 300000 shillings as it was required because some few homes were promising to pay after the harvesting season of their crops.
For this reason, they kept on encouraging them to keep contributing money towards their borehole account for the future sustainability of their borehole.
Generally according to the sanitation assessment made by David and Steven in the entire community was that, the village was ready for the next borehole repair.
